We were appointed to deliver a comprehensive refurbishment and energy efficiency upgrade at a public library, aimed at improving the building’s thermal performance, reducing operational energy costs, and enhancing the overall environment for visitors and staff.

Scope of work
After completing comprehensive surveys, we designed and implemented a fully coordinated programme of works that included building fabric improvements, mechanical and electrical upgrades, renewable energy installations and internal refurbishment.
By integrating every element of the project, we maximised energy efficiency and created a building that is not only functional but also modern, welcoming, and future ready.
Key Activities
- Installation of new windows, doors and glazed entrance lobby area
- Installation of new air source heat pumps, including associated plant room modifications and upgrades
- Installation of solar panels with building management system integrations for performance monitoring and optimisation
- Upgraded insulation to reduce heat demand and improve building performance
- Internal refurbishment works, to include new flooring, wall upgrades and decoration with the installation of new radiators
